New 4.56 gears with 315/70/17 tires
Well I got the truck back after getting the gears done and let me tell you, it is nice to have a useful overdrive. Before with the 3.55s, I didn't use od under 60, now I actually use it all the time. It doesn't constantly downshift going up even the slightest hills. I went with 4.56 over 4.10s as the truck isn't my daily driver and I tow a 6000 pound camper. The camper purchase and initial tow was what made me realize I really needed the gears. Only 15 miles on the initial break in as of now. Will be driving it to work this next week and roughly 120 mile trip next weekend, then getting the diff fluid changed the following monday. Updates to follow. Rpms were about 1800 at 60.

My mileage is under 60000, so he said I didn't need new install kits, 940 out the door with yukon gears. More than I wanted to pay, but cheaper than a new transmission. It sucked towing the camper with the 3.55s so it needed to be done. Also got the transmission flushed so it was an expensive day.

For sure fresh fluid. After 500 mile break in, it is recommended to have it changed again. They are throwing that in with what I already paid.
Once I got the truck back I had the transmission fluid flushed. So diffs and tranny have fresh fluid.

I have a programer so adjusted to 4.56 gears and changed the nov setting (basically tells it when to shift to overdrive). I have about ten to fifteen miles on them and with the settings changed it seemed to do great. Minimal whine as well.

Thats a decent price from what i've read. It seems that most guys pay 14-1500. I could swing that. Where did you purchase yours from? What kind of shop did you have install them? Like an offroad or a mom and pop or strictly gears kinda shop?
