Hey guys well first off let me introduce myself, my name is jason and new to the forum, i just got out of the army after 2 iraq tours and stationed in fort hood. Me and my wife just bought an 05 F150 FX4!!! Here is my question. my truck didnt come with nerf bars so a buddy who had an 09 f150 4 door, mine also a 4 door, hooked me up with some nerf bars. these are the same bars that come on most the f150's but here is the issue. the brackets are mounted on the bars and dont match my trucks mounting points. there are additional holes to move the brackets but no nuts. is there a way to remove the actual plastic step to gain access to the mounting hardware on the step to move the brackets? thanks for any replies, any info helps!!!
