Default Negative Effects after the Gott's Mod? Read Here

Many of you know this is a cheap CAI fix for our trucks

I recently installed my superchips tune.. On way back from when i got it i could punch from 60 and be at 80 in like the matter of a few seconds (like a good 3 secs) with my 4 wheeler in the back. I was like hell yeah this is awesomely more power! Then i thought why not mod the CAI! Was also getting 15.5mpg with atv in back doing 75mph.

When i got home, i looked online and saw the Gotts Mod.. Well looked good and saw many people say it helped their truck! So why not, I bolted up the GoTT's mod, reset everything and let the truck do whatever it had to "learn". Needless to say, my truck must be stupid...

First things first, I put it on, got in the truck, let it run for a bit, got on the main road in my neighborhood and hit it, and it felt like a gutless 2 gear shift from a chevy 5.3. So i figured, Eh maybe its still learning itself...

A week later, I decided to do my 0-100 really 110.. WOT from dead stop run... You can watch here...
It just didn't seem to have the top end to pull itself any faster.. Could be a mind game but idk!
Also ignore my ignorant friend lol, he wasn't feeling very responsible at the time.
I also note that this was the best performance i could get out of it. I tried a 93 tune right after this and it was miserably slower.
So like most of us would do, That never happened

Granted 9.5 secs to 60 in a full size 4 door 4x4 pickup wasn't bad at all in 1992, but this is a 2004 model, surely there's something wrong here. If you notice each shift (mainly from go, and the 1-2 shift) the truck is like a slight Ugh, then tries to pick back up and go on with the speed because of high rpms.I have managed to get around 16 highway, but without having my heavy *** 4 wheeler in the back i surely thought it would have been slightly better. Also after all this time, It still wants to feel gutless from the first gear pull low rpms, and i also noticed quick shifts like it was short shifting itself.

I'm not saying this mod wouldn't work for somewhere up north where the air is thinner and it calls for more air due to elevation. But as far as it goes in MS near sea level. It just isn't my cup of tea. Just from my ***-O-Meter i can feel that it doesn't have the power it did, seemed to have robbed all my torque and get up and go. So today i yanked it off and put the stock trumpet back on.

Will probably be doing another video tonight.. But soon as i got on the road and hit it tire scratching began again.. So i think ill just leave it stock. It may help it breathe better sure, but it isn't worth losing all my power over. Not many people post their negative reviews about it, but here's one!
