Default Need your help guys

Ok so I bought a 04 F-150 lariat yesterday and the fan does not work for the HVAC. I can turn the fan all the way up but nothing happens. I can hear the ac compressor kick on so I know that's working just the blower fan isn't working. I went to autozone to get the blower motor resistor but when I got back and took mine out I realized I didn't get the right one. Mine has a big heat sink on it and the one I got from autozone is just a flat chip looking thing. I'm gonna get the number off it and call ford tomorrow but I'd like to her your thoughts in case that doesn't fix it. I checked the fuse on the passenger side and it's fine. Also I don't know if this would be felted or not but the timer on the cluster just says 00.00.00 and doesn't do anything. The guy I bought it from said he had his mechanic look at the problem and said it was the driver control module. I got one of them too but it looks like its the kind for a turn **** temp setup. I appreciate any ideas and apologize because I know this has been posted before but I couldnt find a post that really helped me. If you need any other info of the truck let me know.

I'd start by checking with a meter at he blower motor if you have 12v. That'll let you know where to start. Normally if it's a resistor you'll loose speeds of a motor but full speed will still work. With the auto temp control that may not be the case however.

Did you check all the fuses? Not just visual, with a probe or multi-meter.

No. I pulled the fuse and swapped it with another of the same kind and tried that and worked in the other spot and the fan still didnt work. It goes into ford tomorrow after work to find out what's wrong.
