My 2008 FX4 Screw's hubs are grinding at least thats my stealerships guess. They cant fix them until next wednesday, but I need my truck to go to work, so my question is will the 4x4 system get any more screwed up if I have to drive and it continues to grind? I believe that it is the hubs cause you can feel them trying to engage but the dont all the way and I can feel it in the pedals. Last night it did it again and this time it was louder and I could feel it start on the left side and try to engage on the right side. If you hav any ideas please let me know

 

if they are destroyed already you will be alright, the cv splines are harder than the hub splines, so they will eat away at them. it will sound horrid, but nothing to get excited about.

 

WIZRD I am a little pissed off too, that my truck has a couple problems but I still love my truck and FORD! My best friend is a general manager for a chain of Toyota dealer ships in Texas, and he related that he refuses to sell the Tundra because of all the serious problems with them. So I guess the moral of the story is no brand is perfect, but thats what we have warranties for.

 

why does everyone react to the Bashing IDIOTs on here. The best medicine is to avoid and overlook their comments. They are looking for the comments to get their rocks off.
