Hey everybody, I've gone around in circles with this, maybe yall can help. About 6 months ago, I added a heavy duty Class-3 hitch to my 04 STX 4x4. Later on, I needed new brakes, so when I went to o'reilys, they asked if I had the towing package. I didnt know so I said no. After I had got them put it, they started to slide back and forth in the brake tray. I took my truck in, told them the problem, and they would check and see. They said that the brake pads were for a hertiage model, and they would replace them. After getting the right set, I still feel like the brake pads slide in the tray. They done slip, or cause braking issues when stopping, or slow-downing. I'm not even sure if they offered a tow package in the STX models. When I've got a load on the truck, it does take a bit longer to slow down, but thats common sense with a trailer. So I ask, if I did add the pads for the tow package and would they still work, or are they any issues with Ford brakes in general? I havnt found any. Has this happened, or happens with anybody else? The rears are fine, this question is based for the front pads. Thank yall.
