Basiclly, you remove the headlamps and put them in the oven for 10-15min at 250 to soften the sealant Ford uses. Than I used a leatherman tool and some screwdrivers to pry all the sealant out. When you get it all apart you will have 3 peices. The lens, the chrome part and the back. I used some 320grit sandpapper and scuffed up the chrome and then taped the areas I did'nt want paint on. I painted them with Krylon Fusion Satin Black paint and then put the whole assembly back together and sealed them with some black RTV. In the end This project took me 4-5 hours from start to finish and I've had no leaks in the lights yet.

I've got a ton of pics if your interested

Thanks, Thats how I took mine apart also the first time. It took me forever to get them apart. Maybe it was because the aftermarket ones had a different kind of sealant.

if you still have your stockers i would try to take them apart and do it, maybe you can switch out the amber lens for a clear one with the ones you have now but of course you would have to breakdown 4 headlights tho
