Need help with wiring stock switch
2008 Ford F-150 Super Crew FX4
I would like to wire aftermarket accessory lighting using the stock 3- switch “message center" cluster (Part # 6l3z10d889aa) located to the right of the steering column. I want to use these switches in order to keep the stock look.
I have disassembled the switch housing and discovered it contains a circuit board with a 4-prong plug to the rear. Is there a way to use this part as a conventional switch? Can I solder wires to the prongs or should I attempt to purchase the male half of the Ford plug and splice my switches into that?
3 switches with 4 prongs to the rear? I would assume one prong in the source and the other three are the power out for each switch? dont know if I'm tring to over simlifying this.
