Default need help with spark plug change

I follow everyone's instructions with spark plug removal soaking in pb blaster and 1/4 turn to soak then going back later to remove the plug and now I'm on the first plug and it broke. I attached a picture of the plug once I got it out and of the hole.
My issue is I followed the instructions on the lisle tool and when I put the puller in it doesn't catch to thread it just spins. When I put in the pusher it did bottomed out. Not sure what else I can do I have repeated the steps three times to make sure I wasn't missing something and it still doesn't work. You can see the puller is hitting it because the black has worn down a little but it just doesn't catch.

Is your Lisle tool new?

On used ones the extractor part loses a little bite

If it is new you have to really push down to get to bite before trying to pull it out
