Default Need help fast!!!!!

Hey guys I went to install my leveling kit yesterday and found out i have a broken coil spring on the drivers side. So i have my truck all tore apart in a buddy's driveway I called the auto parts store they said the stock replacement is a moog 81118 standard spring..They told me they would have it this morning. So i picked it up and went to finish the job and when i was trying to put the new spring on the strut i got it all together and i couldn't get my strut compressing tool out because the moog coil has 12 coils and the stock one only had 9 coils so the coils were a lot closer together on the new one when i got it compressed which then i couldn't get the tool out lol..so do I have the wrong coils or what im so confused. Or will the moogs work fine just a little different design any help would be greatly appreciated

ill do the same... get the one from the dealer... different number of coils will have a different attitude of the suspension in one side to the another which could make your car lean to one side or perform dangerously in a stop... if you are going to change brands/number of coils, change both sides. more coils, probably that one is stiffer.

YEP...get it from Ford...unless your willing to replace both sides to make it even...the wrong number of coils...is the wrong spring to match up to the other side.
