any other thoughts? Isn't there supposed to be some of you that are former or current FORD mechanics? So far this forum deal doesn't seem to be all that great of help.

Yes and I explained everything that happened with the TB, and that it had been cleaned so there is nothing left to do with the TB except replace it. You are not providing any real argument behind your logic either, you sound just like the FORD dealers, always guessing.

Calm down man.
A dirty throttle body can cause this. If you're saying that the dealer diagnosed your suv, and cleaned the TB for $123, then it was not cleaned properly.
Since you took the TB off twice (once to install the spacer, and again to take it off), check the TB gasket. Also check your hoses. They may be in the right place, but the hoses or their connections could be cracked.
Any suggestions you get from people off the Internet are quesses. We can't see or touch your SUV. They are educated guesses though. If you're not willing to follow through with the suggestions, then don't get angry with the people who are trying help.
Also, check the Ranger forums. Explorer's share the Ranger platform. Expeditions share the F150's.

I understand everyone on the boards are just making educated guesses, but when I've said I've checked everything and that the TB has been cleaned whether it was done right or wrong, there has to be something else causing it to do what its doing. If you tell me that this TB is making it almost un-drivable, I can assure you I will be getting rid of this explorer and never buying for again.

I've provided all the codes that I received from two place and no one knows anything about those to even comment on them?

the reason I came to the F-150 boards and not the Rangers is because I have the 4.6L 3V V8 like what is in the F-150, the Rangers do not have that engine in them.

Thanks for your help.

ok a different FORD dealer just came back and said the Mechatronics needs to be replaced in the Ex and that is what is causing the problems.

does this sounds familiar to anyone?

Well I got the Ex back last night and its running smoother than ever, still has the TB spacer on there and no issues so far!

I can promise you the first FORD dealership will be receiving a letter from me regarding the fact that they were not able to pin-point diagnose this issue like the other FORD dealership was, but they would rather have just charged me $5500 for a whole new transmission and $500 for a new TB.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions.
