Gotta love those clips and springs right. I actually figured out that its easier to do just the bottom spring first and get the caliper on and bolt partially threaded with it tilted back just enough to get the top spring in and then slide the upper half of the rotor over the top spring. That way the bottom spring is being held in buy the caliper being half on and you can concentrate on the upper spring which doesn't get installed until you are ready for it so its not pushing out from both top and bottom. I"ve had calipers freeze after a few months so it is possible but could be other things
