Default Need help!!!!!

I have a 05 F150 FX4. I drove it to work no problem, drove it an hour later the battery light kept come on and off, after 2 miles of that the ABS light came on and 30 seconds after that the E-brake light came on and a grinding sound started towards the middle of the truck, hit the brakes the sound went away. Parked it, turn it off and now it worn start. I'm thinking it may be a bad battery, but I don't know, and I'm at work can't deal with it at the moment. Just asking for any advise!!!!

Have the battery tested; remove it, take it to a good automotive parts store, and they can test it for you. The dash symptoms (intermittent dash lights) all sound like a weak battery, but the grinding noise does not.

I was thinking alt as well, bearing going would make a grinding noise and low voltage could set off dash lights.

What happens when you attempt to start it?

Jump and test for voltage at battery or more simple, jump and remove positive battery cable. Truck should stay running, if not it is likely the alt.

Thanks , it was a bad battery and alt,480$ to fix, the grinding nose through me off, along with the dash broad going crazy then crashing , but I guess lack of power could have made something disengage or something to cause the nose

My wife's expedition had that, blinking dash light when you hit the gas: dealer replaced the alternator!

Glad you got it sorted!
