Default Need Help!!!

I have an 04 F150 lariat and my battery gauge is acting up. The voltage has been slowly creeping up. Last week when the truck was off the voltage read mid way, then when turned on the voltage reads high. Now the voltage when the truck is off reads high and when its turned on the gauge goes well passed the battery mark on the gauge. I have had the battery checked along with the alternator and everything checks out.

Anyone have any ideas?
I'm beginning to think that the gauge is broken but not sure of the likely hood of that or how to check it.

Let me know if you have any other things I should check and or if you have a way to check the gauge itself.

Thanks

Why would he change the battery if he's tested it and it is in good condition? No point in dumping 100 bucks on a battery when his current one is fine.

My guess is its the gauge.

Because if its original its what is probably causing his problem being 8 years old.
