Smile Need front frame advice....

Hello,

I just bought a 2004 f150 xlt and the right front side of the truck has frame damage. Curious if anyone has ever changed out the front frame section and looking for advice. Any help is appreciated. I'm also looking for a oil pan for the engine, 5.4 L

Find a body shop with a frame machine. If it's not too bad, they can usually pull it straight. Post a pic of the damage.

The front and rear frame sections are welded together from the factory. I would not recommend going this route. If you decided to go with just a front frame section, you would need to have it done at a frame shop and it would probably cost more to have it sectioned than to buy a good used frame. Check some salvage yards. Lots of times you can find a truck that had either an interior fire or engine fire with no damage to the frame. I also agree with motard1, if it's not too bad a frame shop can straighten it.

Well I spent most of the night pulling radiatiors and crushed metal from the front of the truck, so tomorrow I will take some photos and post them. I will check with the body shops and see what they think. Just for kicks I wanted to let you all know that I did find frames and front frame sections from 300 to 2000 dollars. Sighhhhhhhhhhh well either way it's work... Cheers, Aaron P.s. Check out www.car-part.com
if you ever need frame parts.
