Default Need clarity

OK long story short. Just picked up a "free" stove after work and had it in the back of my truck . Well first corner I was coming to a stop and the stove decided it wanted to sit in the back seat yea right through the back window. I have a 2004 fx4 screw with a slider window (had) . I found a window at the local junk yard for 100 bucks but it's a solid window. Got the old frame out of the truck and cleaned up all the glass and got all the butyl tape cleaned and was looking at new window and noticed that it didn't have the big trim around the outside of the window like the slider has and the slider window looks like it's all one piece . Now my question is will that trim piece make a difference from it leaking thanks for any input .

I thought the same thing man, I also swapped from a slider to a solid piece of glass because my old slider got smashed out. But to answer your question, No it does not change anything in terms or sealing or anything like that,, Just the look, which I personally think the solid looks better.

I like the function of the sliders, but I agree, the solid glass looks much better.

It's completely fine. I was just telling people that the stove just wanted to sit in the back seat. No biggie got the new one in already I do also think it looks better then the slider
