Default Need Better MPG!

Just wondering guys do intakes really give better gas milage? I have an 05 fx4 sc with the 5.4 and 3.73 gears. i have put a leveling kit 34inch tire and mbrp exhaust and i get around 13 mpg take or give. So i was just wondering if an intake would help or would a tunner be a better choice?

i got 3 more MPG's with my true flow XDI. and then a few more with the edge. on long road trips i can get 20 MPG. if you know your going to get the intake and exhaust eventually, get the intake first so that when you get custom tunes, you can set it for the intake. if you do it backwards, you'll have to re-tune it.

No matter what you do or buy you're not going to get much better than about 1 mpg more than what you're currently seeing. Sure you could add a CAI and programmer and maybe see that extra 1 mpg, but you're going to pay $500 or more and you'll never recoup that money in gas savings. If you wanted good gas mileage you should have never added the leveling kit and larger tires.

I know nothing, so don't quote me, but it seems that it creates more wind resistance as now the front's higher and it catches more air.
