Default Need Another Key Made

What's up guys, I have an 05 and I only have 1 key and 1 remote. Ford dealer wanted $200 to make another key and $50 for another remote.
Is there a cheaper way to make another key?
Thanks

Posted many times on here and all over the web. With 2 keys you can get a 3rd key cut and program it yourself. With 1 key the dealer has to do it.

Bought my 04 6 or 7 months ago. Only had 1 key. Ordered 2 keys and fobs from ebay. Dealer wanted like $80 or $100 just to program the keys. Found a local locksmith to cut my blanks and hook up to the OBDII and program my 2 ebay keys for $30.

Some of them have an OBD tool that can program keys.

If you have a remote starter, you can typically use the bypass as it acts as a second key (depends on the bypass) however it's quite a lot more trouble than paying someone to add a key. I'd call locksmith's first though and I also believe the rates dealers charge isn't standardized (might be cheaper at one to the next).
