Hat kind of improvement will i get by adding a cold air intake to a '05 4.6L?... I have no other mods on it... Just a flowmaster exhaust...

 

Adding an intake, you'll probably just have a little more throttle response and a LOT different engine tone under WOT. Unless you get a tuner, you're not really maximizing the use of those two modifications.

On a second note, there's litterally DOZENS of topics that discuss CAI installation and their effects on different engines. Search for them in the 2004-2008 section and you'll get all of the answers you're looking for.

I'd first suggest you obtain a cold beverage of your choice. Then type in CAI, or performance, or mods in the search box, select this forum (2004 to 2008 tech), then hold on to your chair; you'll be reading for awhile, and then can decide if the tunner (highly recommended) is your next step to wake that truck up!
