Default My version of PTM mirrors

Hey guys well i was bored today so i found the paint and painted my chrome full mirror covers DSG to match the truck.i think they look great. sorry for the dark pics. i ran out of time, ill get some more tomorrow in the sun to show the finish on them. definitely different than the standard painted mirrors.

Just wanted to chime in and say you've got a sick lookin' truck. I love the blacked out look, makes it look so much more menacing. Hoping to have a chance to trade in my white 05 Screw for a black 06 or 07 sometime in the near future. Good work.

Let us know over time how the paint holds up on chrome...I've always had chipping and pealing happen to me whenever I painted over chrome; tried prepping with sand paper, pre-sealer, etc. Never seemed to hold.

If you have better results, post again after a few months.

these stick on chrome covers are essentially just covered in a chrome paint. they are plastic and it can be sanded off. i think it will hold pretty well.

This weekend actually i will be painting my mirriors to match my truck.I have the standard black mirriors right now,but want something diferent,so going to match my truck.Also going with mirrior marker lights have that the superduties have.Again,very nice looking...
