Default My Post Cont

sorry i posted a new one, im still figuring it all out. thanks a bunch of rht epeople that wrote back ive been on 2 other ford F150 forums and there was tons of people that knew alot but when i ever posted something i barely got maybe 1 back if i was lucky so it was a great suprise, but this is just the post continued. is the FX4 interior, the black with chrome the only interior FX4 offers besides the luxury edition that i defnetly cant afford. and what do uall think of my chances of geting one at the auction for 10. i kno im expecting atleast 80,000 miles but i noticed that a few had bought theirs from an auction and just to see their thoughts. so 2004 F150 screw or scab and XLT 4x4 or FX4. figuring atleast 80,000 miles. 10 grand seem do able?

You can "do" that at a dealership. Shop around. 2004 to 2008 Ford trucks are out there on the used lots, and a 2004 scab with 80K would not be worth more than $10,000.00 IMO with the "soft" vehicle market these days.

Plus as a bonus, you can drive it, take your relative with you who's a mechanic (from your previous post) to inspect it. Much better than the auction.

I agree with Bucko..you could get it from the dealer and maybe less miles for 10k.

I was looking at a 04 screw with 68k with the 5.4 and 4x4 for a list price of $9995 at a local dealer the other day.

And the ford dealer in town wants 17k for the same truck on their lot, I kinda want to go in there and tell them that they are out of their mind, lol

Crap my head hurts...

Now, autotrader.com is your best freind in a situation like this. I know that I saw (just yesterday) a 2005(Ish) I think, FX4 regular cab, flareside bed with column shifter, smaller 17" wheels and no carpet (how??) with 84k on it for around $12k- it may have even been at carmax. I assume by this post- without reading your previous one- that you want 4wd? If so, your quest for 04-08 body style 4wd for $10,000 is gonna land you somewhere around 100k miles plus. At auction you may be able to find one for that with less miles but I would not trust and auction vehicle too much. They normally wont let you test drive them outside their lot. Call me paranoid but with higher mileage vehicles, I wanna get them on the highway and "stretch their legs". If it sh*ts the bed on the test drive, you can walk away.

Dude, I don't know your time frame to buy... I would jump on this like a fat kid to a cupcake.

And yes, I get bored at work sometimes.
