so, after having my tranny replaced back in April for over $3k, I got an engine light, dealer pulled the codes, and the header or exhaust or something like that is rotted out and is going to be $2k to replace. I'm thinking about getting some exhaust tape and band aiding it. I can definitely hear the exhaust leak.

Funny, I bought it used last October, and if I do the work they;re saying, I'll have put over $5k into it in 1 year, lovely...

 

Replace your exhaust manifold yourself if its driver side its not too bad passenger side just takes a while but its not that hard, and definitely not worth $2k of work

 

Local mechanics do the change for around 800 bucks, I didnt do mine because trust me they are a huge pain in the rump even on older vehicles
