Default Muffler Swap

I can get a flowmaster for around $70. Dual and a flowmaster are about $200.
Should i wait and save for duals or just buy the flowmaster and cut out my old muffler and put it in for a low price and save my money.

Anyone on here ever done a muffler swap? Whats the sound increase?

I have a buddy who swapped on a 40 series on his 07 4.6. Sounds very very good IMO. That is actually next on my list also. Just waiting for the right deal.

Just buy a SI/DO and dump it till you can afford to finish out the duals with a good 3" system custom bent at a shop. Yes you will notice a difference in noise but the cats on these trucks are very restrictive. All I did was buy a super 10 and have them weld it in place of like $60. Sounds good enough for me.

i like the magnaflows much better. It's a straight through design, much better welds and craftsmanship, and doesn't pop and crack like the flowmasters. I cut off my muffler and welded on a magnaflow and reused the old hangers. Sounds awesome to me!

I have a 10 series on my truck and i have never had it pop or crackle. I love the 10 series, it's loud and aggressive some people that ride with me say it's too loud for them so I that's not for you id go with the 40
