Default Muffler sizes

I'm getting some Dynomax bullet mufflers this week.
what is the main difference in the sizes of the bullets?
12--14--16--18--22

i dont get it and the catalog doesn't say anything.

Length of the chamber on the muffler. Pretty much the only difference... Longer will be mellower sound and shorter will be raspier and louder. If I'm wrong, somebody should chime in.

From experience and personal choice an 18" muffler is perfect for most V8 pick up trucks,you'll get a nice deep and basser sound.

I have a twelve inch bullet on mine and love it. I do have sound clips if interested. As stated above the shorter the length the louder it will be. With the insulation on these newer trucks, it's not really that loud inside.

I had a 12" Flowmaster 40 on mine and needless to say went back to get it removed after 2 days,way to loud and raspy for my liking,plus I have the rubber floor mat with no under padding so take that into consideration if you have the rubber floor.
