A few weeks ago i started noticing a slight squeak and rattle coming from around my muffler. so I crawled under the truck and noticed that the bracket right at the muffler was loose. It appears to have been bolted to the frame rail??? I tried to put a bolt and nut back in it but couldnt get a nut inside the boxed frame. Anyone else have this problem, or know a fix for it?

 

Had an issue with my 01 and just welded it. Never squeaked again.

 

thanks Sincity thats probably what I'll have to do, just wanted to see if there was another way, besides welding.

 

I hear ya. I hate to wekd or cut my trucks if it can be avoided.
