Come again? The 4.6 is a V8. I could see getting that kind of MPG from a 4.2 V6. Still impressive. My dad drives a 5.4 2wd Expedition and going the right speed with the right tailwind he tells me he can get 22. I haven't seen it but much better than the old 351.

 

Doh, I meant 4.2 liter. I do a moderate form of hypermiling. I'm also a novice at engines and vehicle maintenance.
