Default MPG issue

I recently bought a Volant CAI for my 07 screw 5.4 2wd. I already have a edge programmer that allows me to track MPG. I installed the CAI and noticed that I actually lost about 2mpg on the highway. I am not driving any different than before. I have even tried slowing down even more and it did not help..... Any thoughts???

I've noticed that the MPG display on my Edge is so inaccurate as to be essentially useless. The only way to know for sure is to calculate it from fill-up to fill-up.

I wonder the reason for the difference before and after the CAI install? Maybe the presets on the programmer are not compensating for the changes?

A pre customed tuner won't bring in the change for CAI, exhaust etc. you have to send it in to PHP to get them to tune that for you. Or so I've heard.
As for the difference lets just say we all love the woosh as our CAI sucks in air. Lol
