Moving Day
Traded my 2004 Lariat this weekend for a low mileage 2019 XLT with all the bells and whistles. I would have happily kept the Lariat and been buried in that truck but the phasor noises were getting louder, mileage was dropping off and the paint was beginning to peel. I sat on the fence on overhauling the engine for a year and picked up some stuff in prep for that but it’s just too much stuff to tackle, or so my wife kept telling me, and with a couple 1,000 mile trips in my future it just didn’t make sense to hold on to it any longer. The 2019 doesn’t have the character or styling of the 2004 and I don’t like the color or the interior layout either. Maybe it’ll grow on me.
So now I have a couple things I no longer need but someone here might find useful for their 2004 F-150 with the 5.4L 3 valve engine:
1. 2004 WorkShop manual for the F-150. Printed December 2003. In good condition.
2. 2004 Wiring Diagrams for the F-150. Printed December 2003. In very good condition.
3. Rocker Arm and Lash Adjuster Kit for 3V Modular Engine from Ford Performance Parts. P/N M-6529-3V.
4. FelPro Valve Cover Gasket Set, 2 gaskets and 29 grommets. P/N VS 50664 R.
5. Valve Compressor Tool.
PM me if your interested. The boxes are opened but the parts are unused. Not looking to make money on this stuff just don’t want it going to the landfill.
I’ll just take a minute to thank everyone for their knowledge and experience on this generation. I’m sure I would have traded this old girl years ago without your help. See you up ahead!
