Zero customer support. His claim of a 10day wait on the controller is an out right lie. Many many complaints of 40+ day waits. Then Brian doesn't answer the phone or respond to emails. Last time I checked his website was still down. All of this had me very disappointed. But when I discovered the bulb (temp sensor) had fallen off and there was nothing i could do about it that was the last straw. The dc controller is ok at best. It never worked exactly as it should. The Painless setup is far superior. Everythings included. Plus more than enough wire.
My cost
$180 for the fans with shipping.
$209 for the controller shipped.
$45 for the radiator hose adapter shipped. (Optional)
Wasted $160 on the dc controller.

I'm guessing his back problem finally took it's toll. When I bought a controller from him a year ago, he was in and out of the hospital getting his back fused in a couple of places, and could only work one to two days a week, and that was in constant pain. It's a shame because he did make good controllers over the cheap junk that's sold over in the Ebay area.
Thanks for the excellent write up on your E-Fan install. If my controller from DC Controller ever bites the dust, I'll look into your controller setup for sure as a replacement. And your recommendation on using shrouds is key too. I'm a firm believer in that too.

I must have been one of the few that got one of Brian's controllers at a decent wait (2 weeks). The controller and a $50.00 Mark VIII fan from a bone yard set me back under $200.00. Been running this setup now for over a year without a hitch. When I bought, his controller was the best and worth the two week wait, as his controller had the 30% start up amp draw, high speed air flow at temp that would cycle back to low when the temp fell below the adjustable probe, and high speed when AC was on, giving nice cold inside AC air at idle.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. I haven't been able to find the parts for the same price as you, but it sounds like the best setup. Thanks for starting this thread!
