I have a blown motor in my 04 F150. It is the 5.4 3v motor. I know ford made some changes in June of 04. My build date is Jan. 04. I'm looking for a used motor to put in. Does it have to be from a pre June 04 truck or will any 5.4 3v motor from 04 to 08 work? Thanks for any input.

 

Any 5.4 should work. You may need to flash the ECM for the appropriate year.
