So what's up with them really? Do these shocks provide you with a noticeably better ride, over even decent aftermarket shocks... not just the factory ones. Or are they just the same, only excelling when your carrying heavy cargo.
I have year old regular Monroe's, and it just feels like my back end floats too much over small bumps. Curious..

Ride is much better over stock. They raise the rear about an inch over stock. Your load capacity will be increased. I replaced my bilstein 5100s with these and I like them better.
Btw, I haul a lot but don't do a ton of off roading.
Definitely worth the $100 for the pair.

Had a customer come in with a GMC 2500 and insisted on new factory Bilstein shocks. A month later her came back in and paid another $600 for us the take the Bilsteins off and put on the Monroes. Hasnt been back since. I could tell a difference, Im a believer.

I do carry a substantial amount of weight for work. The plain monroe's without the springs I installed just seem to bounce up and down more than the oem's did (without anything in the bed).
I'd like to eliminate that without feeling like I'm back in an f250.
