Just adding a +1 on the vote for exhaust. I just got the magnaflow SIDO on mine a couple weeks ago and love the sound and the look. I also bought a new AMSOIL filter and will be doing Gott's mod this weekend for the intake. Next on the list after that: gryphon or edge programmer!

Yeah I am going to do the exahust but right now I am trying to decide if I want the Magnaflow SI/DO #16523 or the Banks Monster Exahust. I have been reading on both of them and the price is about $100 difference. I have read good and bad about both so it is time for me to pull the trigger and get one of these. The best price for the Banks I have found is $453 +10% off on autoanything.com and the Magnaflow is $556 +10% off.

Where did you get your system and how much did you pay for it?

I have the Magnaflow 12268. I purchased it and got it installed at a local shop for around $450 after tax. This price also included the two stainless, rolled tips, which were around $50/each.

Eghead - Is your exhaust JB-Welded to your muffler? Maybe it's the pic, but that doesn't look like a good welding job....

No, I watched them weld it with either a TIG or MIG welder. I agree that it's not the best welding job I've ever seen either. This shop has been doing exhaust for years, so you would think they would be a little more artistic about it. I did see them test for leaks and it does have a warranty, so I will keep my eye on it to see if I see any signs of a compromise in the weld. Here is a better picture. It's not as bad as the other pics made it look, but like I said, it's certainly not the best job I've ever seen.

Glad you got the warranty. That second photo doesn't look quite so bad.

Do you want "sound" or eye appeal. 3 out of the 4 are mostly eye appeal or cosmetics. The exhaust will be an audio appeal and a slight cosmetic appeal. But I would vote exhaust. PLease dont spend 600 on it either.

I say that because you should be able to get any exhaust you want welded in for about 350.
