Default mixing ring pinion brands

I know I would rather not do this but I cannot seem to find a brand that has both 4.30 front and rears. I have 04 F150 FX4 with stock gears and 35s. I am going to put 37s back on hense the 4.30 gears. I have 8.8 front diff and 9.75 rear.

if i remember right summit racing has 4.30 gears for the front. why not just go with 4.88's? that is what most guys run with 37's, at least go with a 4.56's minimum

Unless you have a preference, it doesn't matter what brand you use as long as they are the same exact ratio.

Wow, thanks for the quick replies. I am just trying to get my truck back to a stock ratio. The math tells me that 4.29-4.31 will get it where it needs to be. I don't offroad my truck (daily driver) so I don't need the extra torque of the lower 4.56 gears.

yea but the stock tires don't weigh anywhere near the amount a 37 does, i bet a 37 on 20, if that's what you have, weighs double if not more than a stock rim/tire

4.30 to 4.56's are less than 100 rpm difference, you won't even know the difference in mpg on the highway

Sounds logical, maybe I will go with 4.56 for ease. I do mostly city driving anyway. The Toyos are 100lbs each and they are on 18" Weld Racing wheels.

yea i would go with 4.56's then, ideally 4.88's are your best option for 37's, but if you do a good mix of city/highway 4.56's would be perfect for you.
