Default Missing when cold

05 screw with 5.4

When it is cold out, if I don't let it warm up a bit before I drive, it will miss when under exceleration. This truck just had a new long block installed 2000 miles ago. I realize that it still has the original ignition and fuel/air systems.

If I let it warm up for 5 minutes or so it runs great.

What do you you suppose this would be ??

Well I ordered a the FPDM from Amazon and had it sitting in my garage waiting for the weekend to install it. On my way home from work last Wednesday it started missing so badly I could hardly get it over 50 mph. I was near the stealership so I pulled it in and it turned out to be a bad spark plug. They said it was on the #7 cylinder. I have never had a vehicle act so badly from only one bad plug but they changed it and that fixed it.

I went ahead and replaced the FPDM today and good thing, the old one came out in pieces. I am surprised it was still operating !
