I walked out to the truck this morning and something caught my eye. It didn't look right.





I checked the other side and it looks like I'm missing some kind of plastic covering in the strut. Is this going to be a problem other than looking stupid?

 

I should add that this piece was intact when I installed my leveling kit a few weeks ago. It must have broken off somehow while driving.

 

I've been driving mine like that for a year or so... It's just the dust shield. I won't effect too much as some new struts and shocks never come with them...

Btw mine just fell down on the bottom. So its still there, maybe yours did the same.... but I never could figure a way to get it back in place :/

 

I didn't stop to inspect it too closely, but I'll check it out tomorrow morning and see if its still there. Thanks.
