Default MisFire and Retarded

I am getting a misfire in cylinders 2 and 3 and getting a retarded code all at the same time. I cleared the codes and restarted and received the same codes. I have changed the plugs and coils as well as all of the timing gear minus the cams. My truck was running great. I just finished a 150-mile dive when pulling into my driveway my RPMs shot up to about 3000 and the check engine light turned on solid no flashing. Runs rough and pops.

Suggest posting up the actual code numbers, the brand/mfg of the parts used, and also more clarity on whether the timing work was done as a result of these codes, or if the codes are present due to (after) the timing work?

(ps: assuming 5.4 3v?)

Yes please state the DTC codes it's stored.
if this only appeared shortly after a timing job I would be concerned that a part was faulty or perhaps improperly installed/torqued.
If the valve timing is off by a lot that alone can cause misfires. I'd guess the codes for retarded timing are on bank 1 same as the misfiring cylinders?
