Default Milage and dependability?

Around September I'm looking to buy a 04 or 05 FX4. Right now for 11k the market looks like its a Crew with 150k miles or a EXT Cab with 110-120k miles. Which do yall recommend?

Right now I have a 99 with the 4.6 and 188k miles. All I have had to do is clean my IAC, new rotors and pads, regular oil changes, a new alternator and new air compressor. Besides that it runs great.

Do yall think 150k miles is to much on a 04 FX4? If I have to replace small things like I have thats fine, but I don't want any big issues, especially not tranny or new engine. How long do these normally last? I do most DIY work and change the oil every 3500k miles regardless of whats recommend.

Honestly, unless you're set on the fx4, you can get a 4x4 with the base or maybe even xlt interior for around that with less miles(at least around here in NC). I bought an 05 loaded lariat crew 4x4 with 107k for 16,000. I mean power sunroof, rear window, every option they had that year. Just look around, you'll find a fit.

Fx4 Is awesome tho. lol not saying your 4x4 is bad. But I just like my fx4 better than reg 4x4.

Sounds good then. Well if you were to buy a truck would you buy one with 150k?
We take care of our trucks so we don't really have issues. Mine has 190k and it runs fine, my dads 05 Xterra(he got new)now has 265k and runs fine to. We just keep up with oil changes.

Yea I have seen Crew XLT 4x4s with around 100k-115k for 11k. But I really like the FX4, just seems so much nicer. XLTs are still nice tho, thats what my 99 is.

The fx4 is sweet, no denying that. I'd have bought one, just ran across a deal on the one I got first! Get what you want.......you won't be happy settling for less.

I bought mine with 128k on it and haunt had any issues. It comedown to how well the previous owner has treated it to determine if it'll stay running strong. Ask him what he has done to it and see if he has any maintenance records for it. That should be the deciding factor.
