good luck with the 77 series, know that I had to do some modding to the intake air recurlator on mine to get it to work with my 4.6, but Im guessing that it will drop right in on the new ones.

also, one screw on one clamp was too short.

Took about 20 mins and its done. The only thing I don't like is how the air mass meter just sits in the hole. Its not sealed into the bracket. I will fix that later though.

Looks good!! So the mass air meter won't fall will it?? You said it just sits in the hole.

Is it loud at all? I mean I know it's not gonna be as loud as exhaust but can you hear it outside the truck with the hood shut?? When I had mine on my Malibu you get hear it "sucking" even with the hood closed so I imagine it will be louder with a bigger engine.

there is no sucking sound on my truck, just loduder when you get on it.

NGM .. what i did with mine was .. there was some extra plastic rubber vinyl stuff that was laying around (the stuff that you put around the top of the heat shielding) i put around the inside hole where the cone connects to the air tube .. mine doesnt move.. ill have to find the pics to show what i mean i think ..

It added 13 peak HP. Couldn't get a good peak TQ reading. Damn thing kept wanting to downshift under full throttle..so it gave a false peak on tq. ITs ok I am VERY pleased with the results. I guess a TB and headers are next. On the quest to put 300 to the ground...
