921-x12 Wedge Base LED bulb

Are those the ones I need for the front map lights? I have the dome done. Just want the maps too. I under stand the "x12" means 12 tiny leds, and that will give me a 70^ angle, ample to light up the entire cab. Anyways, is the bulb type I listed above correct? I know it says its a 194/906 replacement, and ours are both. I know someone has done this from them and I'd just like to verify first. Thanks! (and I did search but seriously, this search engine on the forum isnt great... good, but not great).

 

Yep! I bought 2 921 Blue Led's (9 LED) for my truck. Got mine on Ebay.

Wait a second! Shouldn't you be focusing on the roof.

 

I suggest getting them from vleds.com, I got some from superbright and they just didn't fit quiet right.

 

How do I get to the Map lights, I bought some of these after reading this thread and there here. I didn't wanna damage it trying to pry it with a flathead screw driver so I figured I'd ask first. Do I have to take off the entire roof console thing?

Yea, just yank that sucker off. Access to the lights is gained through the rear of that assembly. A screwdriver will only mar your plastic, and you off. Lol.

Boilerup, what were the bulb models you ordered from vleds for your maps?

 

Vanoford: what is the l.e.d.replacement # for the dome light? i would like to change the dome light and the map lights all together!
