Default manifold question

Last year I replaced my upper intake manifold, with a Dorman intake manifold. 2007 4WD STX 4.6L. This morning, my son was driving to work and he heard a pop. when he got stopped coolant was everywhere. I went to check the truck out this afternoon and found a cap on top of the IM. I looked for where it went and an hour finally found it. It goes to an upright tube coming out of the back of the IM back by the pass side fire wall. Can someone tell me what this is and why it build enough pressure to blow?
Also, ever since I changed out the IM, I have been throwing codes for an Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor? Replaced the EGR 3 times, the MAF once and found a broken vacuum line from the fuel rail to the back of the intake. Thanks

Crummy spring clamp. Happened twice to me since replacing intake with the Dorman, Dried and cleaned cap and tube really good, RTV silicone and a screw type hose clamp holds in place since. Good luck.

is it the radiator hose clamps, upper and lower? They both have those spring clamps. What about the heater hose ring clamp as well? Thanks for the info. I am assuming this cleared the manifold absolute pressure codes?

The rubber cap in the back of my intake popped off spewing coolant. Came with crummy spring clamp to hold it on. I never had the codes mentioned.
