Default magnaflow vs. flowmaster catback

the age old question, which is better? there is a $200 price difference which makes the flowmaster catback look more appealing.

how do they compare in hp, volume of the exhaust and tone?

and i would greatlt appriciate a part number for the flowmaster, as far as i know, this http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...nresults=false is the only catback for my truck.

i have a 2007 4.6L, crew cab i believe its called (the one with 4 full sized doors)

you have a SuperCrew. Modular motors respond very well to flow thru type mufflers, I would go with Magnaflow.

Get a SLP Loud Mouth Exhaust syestem.

Between the two you given, I would go with.....MagnaFlow. I've driven a buddy of mines 2005 F-150 4.6 with Flows Masters and I dunno it just didn't do it for me. I wanted something that sounded a bit race-ier, stronger, and louder. It left me wanting more out of it. Then again all he had was just the flowmaster which cost him $40 he didn't replace any pipes or anything. I've personally been eyeing the SLP Loud Mouth exhaust system.

slp part # F31070 correct?

who has the best price on that? slp has it listed at $530

between the slp and the magnaflow, any major hp/sound difference or just personal prefference?

future plans are k&n intake and MAYBE sct xcalibrator2

Have have had Fowmasters and Magnaflows on several different vehicles in the past and was always more impresseed with the magnaflows. My truck will be getting Magnaflow's soon. Just my two cents.

I have a slp scilencer on my snowmobile, and if you think truck exhausts are expensive, my "muffler" was 350 bucks.

magnaflow is the way to go, mine is a SI/SO which looks somewhat stock, but with a 4" chrome tip and it lets you know it's not stock when you put your foot into it!

Definitely Magnaflows. I have the duals out the back, 4" SS rolled tips, and 14" muffler. A little drone, but sounds great and looks great. Flows are aluminized. Mags are stainless steel. Simple decision IMO.
