Windshield Chipped, Hood Dented
Driving to work on the highway @65 mph.
I am in my 07 FX2.
2 dumptrucks pass me and I saw it coming right at me.
It was a rock the size of a tennis ball.
BOOM, it hit my windshield and the hood.
Hood is dented, paint is scratched right down to bare steel.
Windshield has 3 small chips.

Body shop estimate is $912.00 with new windshield.

Has any one had chips fixed?

I dont want to change the windshield.

Sorry to hear what happened to you chief. You can have chips repaired, just depends on the size of the chip.

 

did you get the truck drivers insurance? they should pay for it.

something like that happened to my dad a few years back, and they paid for it out of pocket because the truck did not have reggulation mudflaps or something.

Ty is right on that one. If you got their information or even plate # they have to pay for it. They are responcible for their cargo.

That does really suck though. I'll buy ya a beer for the frustration you had to go through.....
