Depends on where you live
The slight difference in those oils are not going to bother the metal tensioners.
I went to 5w-30 for hot florida and I do tow ,my engine has 176k on it I went to the thicker oil after timing job. I run some marvel mystery oil also .
But those engine pictures out of northern canada with that cake frosting sludge means they need ow-20 syn or so . That running 200 degrees then below zero every night is hell on that oil. That calls for some more oil changes but who wants to do that in the cold . Must be condensing water in engine at night .
I think I would run some engine flush , run mmo and more frequent oil changes . . Maybe some of them are running block heaters ?
And clean those cop connectors ,don't replace them . They rarely fail , can I have the old ones, if I were near I would come get them . .
