Default Lube Locker Gaskets?

Does anyone have any experience with Lube Locker Gaskets?

I'm going to replace the axle seals and bearings on my 9.75 and looking for alternative to RTV to seal the pumpkin. I've seen positive reviews for Jeeps that use them, but not much in the way of F150s.

Thanks,
James

If you are using friction additive for positraction you need to use special sealant to resist additive .

Perma-Tex Ultra Black RTV silicone works great. I've always used it and never had a leak. The only down-side is it's more work to clean up and prep next time. My concern with a typical stamped steel cover would be that the cover surface was flat, and not bent at all or puckered around the bolt holes. Silicone does a good job of masking such imperfections. My $.02
