Default LT Headers installation?

Has anybody had success installing Long Tube headers on an 04-08 F150? I started to take my manifolds off before i realized you pretty much have to take off half the engine hypothetically speaking. What has everybody else done?

Last time I put a set on, I think I supported the engine then removed the motor mounts to give more room and clearance. Also removed the wheels and liners to give easy access to most of the bolts. Not a hard job, just time consuming.

i heard you also have to remove oil dipstick, starter, and pretty much the face of the engine LongTubes right? What brand? Did you notice great performance/sound difference.
