Lowe's programs keys now?
The local Lowe's has started programming transponder keys. Has anybody used their service? I imagine it's the key cloning service, vs a dealer-style "programming from records" service, right?
I'm expecting my keyless entry flip key in a couple of weeks and was looking at having Lowe's program it, rather than paying out the nose and waiting 12 hours at the closest Ford stealership.

You need to have 2 keys that have already been programed into the truck. After that you can program in a chip key. If you only have one, it's a locksmith or the dealer to reprogram. Best bet for having a key cut, have it cut from the VIN. Dealer can do it. Locksmith should be able to do it. That way you have a clean "factory cut" key without cutting in the wear from the existing key.
