Default Low fuel light

So it seems lately that my low fuel light has been coming on later than before. Typically when it came on I still had roughly 3 gallons left but this morning after it came on, I drove maybe another mile to the gas station and put in 25.04 gallons As far as I know, I only have a 25 gallon tank.

Keep it over 1/4 tank at all times, your fuel pump will thank you! And you will never see that annoying low fuel message ever again!

Positive, the last time I ran her that low she actually sputtered when I turned the corner into the gas station.

I've heard that before but this is something that I have always done with all my vehicles. I hit the reset button on the trip odometer at every fill up. It's my way of monitoring how my vehicle is running.....My last vehicle was a 1994 Grand AM GT and when I sold her she had 209, 000 miles with the original fuel pump. My current beast has 116, 000 miles on her.

I've put in 26 and a change in a couple of occasions that it was running really low. The 25 might not include reserve.

My 08 has a 30 gallon tank. When the low fuel light comes on (50 miles to E, I think), it usually holds 25-26 gallons on fill-up.
