Default Low Fuel light?

2006 fx4 5.4 f150. So heres the issue i seem to be having. I notice that my low fuel light has not been coming on when the gas gauge goes down to empty like it used to do. Has anyone else had a issue with the light not coming on?

I have not, but why would you continually let it get that low?

Does it really bother you that much?

Is there actually a low fuel indicator? (my fuel guage just changes color from green to red) If so, may just be a burnt bulb.

It says low fuel where the odometer is.

It seems rather random when it comes on. I put in 24 gallons last week and the indicator wasn't on but other times it comes on when it takes 23 gallons to fill up.

Ive got a 27 gallon tank.

The way my message center works is the "LOW FUEL LEVEL" message beeps and comes on at "50 MILES TIL EMPTY".. Every 10 minutes, it beeps again and gives the message again. Doesn't come on until it gets that low again.. (FYI, if you get below that level, you can't fill up the entire tank.. It'll be a few gallons short. If you fill up when you're at a 1/2 a tank or more, it fills up all the way like normal..)
