Default Lots of codes, no throttle response

My friends truck just devoleped a major issue. Has codes for camshaft position sensor, throttle position sensor. Said he ran it low on gas and now sometimes is has no throttle response. Idles like crap seems like it has a misfire. Truck is shuddering as well. The other codes it has is P0012, P0018, P0022, P0300, P0316, P1000. Had new vct solenoids, cam phasers, timing chain, timing chain guides, oil pump put in. What could be wrong?

P0012 - Intake Camshaft Position Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 1)
P0022 - Intake Camshaft Position Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 2)
P0018 - Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 2 Sensor A)
P0022 - Camshaft Position A - Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 2)
P0300 - Random Misfire Detected Code
P0316 - Engine Misfire at Startup
P1000 - On Board Diagnostic System Readiness Test Not Complete

So... it sounds to me like a) he just reflashed it from a tune, or restored to stock given the P1000 code -- or the PCM has a major fault in it somewhere.

If the PCM is boned up, that would explain all the other drive-by-wire error codes.

He has a plug in tuner. Could that be causing the issue?

Default Solution

Would you believe that the cause of all those codes and it running rough was the vct solenoids? Replaced them and it runs like new.

Default Did he use non oem vcts in the first place ?

Or is there a chance dirt jammed those and it may go there again . We know non-oem phasors cause problems need to see of vcts are the same . We also know that vct housings get jammed up . I had the same experience only to return several weeks later.
