Default Lost only key

The dealership I bought my truck from a month ago only gave me one set of keys. Well I rode with a friend on a baseball trip this weekend, arrived back home and realized I couldn't find my keys. Called the hotel, places we ate, etc no where to be found. So my question is what do you all recommend doing? I just bought a blank chip key and fob that is actually in the truck. Could I take it to a locksmith or a dealer and them cut it by the VIN or what? Im a full time college student with a very busy schedule and my truck is a must. Thanks ahead of time.

Should be able to do it via the vin number. I'd call the nearest dealer and see what they say. They will probably want it towed there and then they can cut a new key and reprogram it and what not

...And you might want to get a second set done at the same time. Once you have two keys you can program additional spares yourself (there is a limit to how many times this can be done, about ten total I think).

I will definitely be getting extras made. Dealership says I need to have it towed there, $85 for services, and $25 for the key. Not as terrible as I was expecting, but nonetheless a $150 screw up.

I love having Geico. Free roadside assistance and that includes towing from anywhere to the nearest dealership (you can choose as long as its within the mileage limits)
